Siew-Yen Tew

Siew Yen brings a diverse professional background, having worked in marketing and procurement within the professional haircare sector before moving into education. She currently works in a secondary school, supporting the Data Manager and Senior Leadership Team with data analysis and projects.

For the past eight years, Siew Yen has served as a governor at Bearbrook Combined School. She has now joined the Great Learners Trust as a trustee because she is passionate about ensuring that every child receives an excellent primary education - one that builds strong knowledge, nurtures confidence, and helps children stay safe and thrive as they move into secondary school. Her motivation is also grounded in her own experience as a parent, seeing first‑hand the positive impact that a strong primary foundation has had on her son.

Beyond her professional and governance roles, Siew Yen enjoys exploring culturally enriching experiences with her son. She is also a Jazzercise instructor, championing the physical and social benefits of group fitness.
