All schools within the GLT retain their Local Governing Board which provides support and challenge to the school leadership and as such oversees the governance of the school.

They have delegated powers and responsibilities from the Board of Trustees and these can be found in a document called the Scheme of Delegation.

Each Scheme of Delegation is agreed between the Trustees and Local Governing Board when a school joins the Great Learners Trust. The respective responsibilities of Trustees and Governors are set out in the role descriptions below.
